Music Ministry

“Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.” – Psalm 95:1

Description

Our Music Ministry exists to glorify God through Spirit-led worship, using the gifts He has given us to lead His people in praise and adoration of Jesus Christ.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the church in worship: Help the congregation praise Jesus through songs that are faithful to Scripture and rich in truth.

  • Lift up Jesus, not ourselves: Keep the focus on Christ, not on performance or drawing attention to ourselves.

  • Live a life of worship: Show that worship isn’t just for Sundays—it’s a daily surrender to Jesus in how we live.

  • Rely on the Holy Spirit: Serve with a dependence on the Spirit for guidance, unity, and strength.

  • Prepare hearts for the Word: Use worship to help people be ready to hear and receive God’s Word.

Sing to the Lord, for He has done excellent things; This is known in all the earth. — Isaiah 12:5

The Lord has indeed done many "excellent things" for us. Above all, we remember the great work of redemption accomplished through the Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary. Because of our sin, we could not enter Heaven. We were separated from a holy God, guilty and unworthy in His sight. Yet in His mercy, God the Father sent His only Son so that we might be saved through Him and brought near.

How can sinful people come before a holy God? Only by His grace. Only because Christ was willing to leave the glory of Heaven, take on flesh, and bear our sin. Through His sacrifice, we are forgiven and given the privilege to worship in His presence.

For this reason, we sing. We worship with gratitude and with confidence—not in ourselves, but in Him. We look forward to the day when we shall see our Savior face to face. Until then, while we remain on this earth, we wait for Him, obey His Word, and give Him praise, for all the "excellent things" He has done in our lives.
