Sunday School Ministry

Sunday School at India Gospel Assembly is a dedicated time for children and young teenagers to learn God’s Word in a loving, nurturing environment. We believe that teaching Scripture early and consistently is vital to building a strong foundation in Christ from Pre-Primary (Kindergarten) to 12th Grade. 

 

PRAISE & WORSHIP

Sunday School teachers will joyfully lead children in singing praises to God through worship and action songs. Through these songs, children will have the opportunity to express their love for the Lord and learn to worship Him with glad hearts. Song books will also be provided so that children can follow along with the lyrics and participate together in praise.

WORKBOOKS & TEXTBOOKS

The Brethren Sunday School program is centered on helping children know the Word of God, grow in their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and build a strong foundation of faith. Through meaningful Bible stories, weekly memory verses, and age-appropriate lessons, children are encouraged not only to learn Scripture but also to apply God’s truth in their everyday lives.

The textbook and workbook are helpful tools designed to support this spiritual growth and make each lesson more engaging. The workbook includes activities such as coloring pages, puzzles, Bible questions, and short reflections that help children understand and remember the lessons in a clear and practical way. The textbook contains forty lessons in total, with approximately half covering the Old Testament and half covering the New Testament. Each week, students will work through the assigned lesson and memory verse during Sunday School class. Please note that Pre-Primary students will receive only a workbook and will not use a textbook.

Sunday School teachers will provide the appropriate materials according to each child’s academic grade level. Parents are kindly requested to share their child(ren)’s grade with the teacher so that the correct books can be provided.

Above all, our greatest desire and prayer is that every child would come to know Jesus Christ personally, grow in love for Him, and treasure Him above all else. We desire to see our children become faithful followers of Christ who love His Word, walk in His ways, and live for His glory. Whether a child is hearing about Jesus for the first time or has been part of Sunday School for years, this ministry is a place where they can grow in faith, be encouraged in God’s truth, and become firmly rooted in Scripture.
